The Desert

I truly love Nevada. So many people find it brown, grey and lifeless, but I feel that it has a beauty and a vibrance all its own. Geology is her canvas, and light is her brush. Our deserts are a dichotomy between arid salt flats and verdant alfalfa fields. They are the smell of sagebrush after a rain and the waves of sunshine. Maybe it’s something only a native can appreciate, but to me there is nothing more lovely than our dry land.
