I love food; have I mentioned that? It’s even better when the tastiness of a dish is paralleled by its appearance. We are all bound to our physical bodies, and as such true enjoyment comes from sensory experience. Imagine something so soft and succulent that it just melts on your tongue; imagine the caress of warm slipperiness against your taste buds. If there is an afterlife, I do hope it involves eating a lot of delicious food and letting the wind blow through our hair. This though was my second to last meal in Cuzco; it was the only meal where a pepper defeated me. It was a place to laugh together, we six Americans. It never ceases to amaze me how strangers become friends just by experiencing the wonder of our beautiful world.
(By the way, the glass is full of Inca Kola; it’s made from chamomile and tastes like bubble gum.)
