I love the night. The darkness wraps around me in a comforting cloak; my pupils widen until every speck brightens, and all of my senses feel alive. Jet lag is not always the curse it appears to be. In the depths of night, the capitol of the Old Empire was silent. No stars could be seen, but I still felt as alive as I ever can in a city. I was poised on the eve of adventure, excited and young. In its own way, this is how I remember London best.
